Swaying to the tunes of jazz while sipping a glass of wine in Goa’s awesome December weather – sounds perfect, right? If you have been dying for a jazz in Goa experience, the Jazz India Circuit International festival is the answer to your prayers. It’s the perfect occasion for jazz fans to indulge in some musical moments in Goa. What would enhance the experience even further? A beautifully designed OYO Home for those post-concert get-togethers, or to host a jam session of your own! Having a home to yourself means you can enjoy your holiday the way you want. Read on as we plan a jazzed up holiday for you!

It’s just two weeks away!

Happening on December 1 and 2 at the International Centre in Donna Paula, the festival offers an envy-inducing experience for jazz fans with open-air venues, a great line-up of artists, food and drinks. It’s just 10 minutes away from Panaji, and is an easy reach from both north and south Goa.

Not all jazz

The festival presents some old world as well as newer forms of experimental jazz music every year. The Grammy nominated quartet Hiatus Kaiyote is performing in India for the first time this year. The fest also celebrates other genres like punk, funk hip-hop and R&B. Artists like Jerome Klein from Luxembourg, Lester Godinho from Goa, OZMA from Europe, Indian star Rhythm Shaw along with his band Orjazzmic, Supergombo from France and WorldService Project, a popular British punk-jazz group, will also be performing.

Travelling with your gang?

Since you’lll be in the heart of Goa, there are plenty of OYO Homes to choose from. There’s a 3BHK right in Donna Paula, designed as a ocean world and very close to the beach. With a huge living room and a big balcony running all along the periphery, there’s lots of hangout space for everyone. Space is never a problem at a OYO Home, so no matter the size of your group, we have you covered. All you need to do is pick the right Home that is the perfect fit for your group.

Making new friends? Bring them along!

Concerts are all about listening to good music among like-minded people. And if you happen to bond well with some, an after-party is the ideal way to make the new bonds stronger. Get them along to your own OYO Home to discuss the new bands you heard in the evening. Share a meal and talk about your old jazz favourites, too. After all, that’s what homes are for!

The only jazz lover in your group? No problem!

If your choice in music doesn’t match your friends’, does that mean you should give up on your favourite concert? Absolutely not. You can lose yourself in a weekend of jazz, and find your own zone of music at an OYO Home. Imagine not having to share the hammock swing on the balcony, or playing whatever music you like while you do a little jig – nobody is watching!

Soul-stirring moments

The best thing about an OYO Home is that it transports you into a different world altogether. It is your space of solace – a break from the routine life. And what better than some music as food for the tired soul? These beautifully designed spaces will bring out the musician in you. You’ll be encouraged to play a soothing tune on the guitar as you feel a sense of calm engulfing you.

To add to the motivation, we even have a Home dedicated to the ’90s era of music. A backlit guitar on the living room wall, cassette-shaped center table, vinyl records as lighting fixtures – this OYO Home spells music in every corner. The ideal place to stay on a trip dedicated to music.

Be one with nature and music

Plenty of greenery, outdoor seating areas, Goan feels and breezy spaces – each OYO Homes is like a breath of fresh air. It’s nothing like anything you have experienced before. So whether you are a music enthusiast, or a musician yourself, you’ll find plenty of inspiration here, in the colourful walls, beautiful bay windows and lively living rooms.

A home of your own and music for your soul, what more do you need on a vacation? There’s is no better time to lose yourself in the musical vibes of Goa. Get on with the holiday planning already, we’d say!
