Ochira Kali Festival : June Ochira Kali Festival is a famous two-day annual festival celebrated in June-July at Ochira Parabrahma temple, Kollam. It is a commemoration of the historic medieval fight of Kayam Kulam in Ochira. To mark the occasion, a mock battle is organized after the sighting of Sri Krishna Parunthu. The participants perform martial arts while standing knee deep in water amid cheers from the crowd and sounds of the beating drum. Each side has equal victories and losses.
