I recently stayed at IRAYOS on June 6th, 2025, and checked out on June 7th. First of all, I didn’t understand the name “IRAYOS.” I don’t know which language it belongs to or what it means, but whatever the language, the name doesn’t match the resort’s rustic, traditional Indian theme at all. If they had chosen a name based on Sanskrit, it would have suited the place much better. I stayed there on a Friday, and interestingly—whether lucky or unlucky, out of the 23 rooms at the resort, only three rooms were occupied, one of which was mine. Despite this, the rooms and the entire property felt very clean and fresh, even though I later learned the property is 20 years old. I had booked my stay through OYO, and it was an excellent experience overall. The resort gave me the feeling of staying in a jungle. It was a bit eerie, though, because the rooms adjacent to mine were all empty. With the sounds of insects at night, it really felt like a jungle experience. The rooms were very clean and spacious, including the bathrooms. The walls were covered with bamboo matting, and the roof was made of clay tiles, adding to the perfect rustic feel. Mobile network was completely unavailable, and Wi-Fi was the only connectivity option. The TVs in the rooms were connected to the Wi-Fi and had all OTT platforms available. The play area was also excellent, offering a wide range of indoor and outdoor games. The swimming pool was well maintained and didn’t use chlorine, so after swimming, there was no itching or hair stiffness. The restaurant was beautifully designed with authentic touches. We hadn’t included food in our booking, but I would recommend including meals because while food ordering was possible, there was no printed menu, which I found strange. The property owner should keep this option open and transparent, like a typical restaurant menu to avoid confusion. This was a bit of a negative experience because whenever we asked about food, the chef seemed a bit confused, and if we asked about prices, the staff didn’t have fixed answers. The receptionist or manager would verbally tell us the prices, which felt quite random and confusing, almost like they were adjusting the prices on the spot based on the guest. That was a bit irritating. The staff seemed hardworking, but they also appeared a bit lost at times, maybe because of a language barrier, they couldn’t always understand what we were saying, even though we were speaking in the local Marathi language. Another suggestion: at the very least, the resort should provide complimentary drinking water for guests. Overall, I would definitely consider visiting again, but next time I’d prefer to come with a group, because on weekdays, the resort is extremely quiet and may not be ideal for couples. Finally, getting to the resort is very easy, it’s just 2 km off the Palghar highway and the road is very good, so there’s no confusion. All in all, it was a great experience!
