Hotel Shambhavi in Udupi, located near the Old KSRTC Bus Stand, offers an intriguing dining experience that’s hard to believe at first. On Sunday, my friends and I (8 members in total) visited the restaurant for lunch, and we were surprised to find that they were offering an unlimited veg and non-veg meal for just ₹199 per person. At first, we couldn't quite believe it – such a low price for unlimited food seemed too good to be true. However, once we started the meal, it became clear that the offer was genuine. The variety of dishes served was impressive for the price. The food itself was quite good, with several options to choose from. However, the soup was a bit of a letdown; its taste was off, and none of us really enjoyed it. Moving on to the prawns curry, we were disappointed to find there were very few prawns in the dish, making it a bit underwhelming. But the highlight of the meal for me was the Veg Crispy – it was a dish I had never tried before, and it turned out to be absolutely delicious! The crispy coating and perfectly seasoned vegetables made it one of the best dishes of the day. Overall, Hotel Shambhavi offers a good meal at an unbeatable price, with some hits and misses in terms of flavor and variety.
