I recently stayed at Vembanad Tourist Home, just 650 meters from Vaikom Temple, and the experience was truly memorable. From the moment I checked in, Mr. Dileep welcomed me warmly. He guided me with the temple timings, suggested the best time for darshan, and shared useful local information that really helped during my visit. The room I stayed in was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The bed and bedsheets were fresh and clean, and the overall setting felt almost like a star hotel suite. The peaceful atmosphere in the room helped me relax after my travel. Throughout my stay, the staff were very polite and responsive. Even small requests were handled quickly and with a smile, which added to the overall positive experience. Overall, it is truly value for money. I would highly recommend Vembanad Tourist Home to anyone visiting Vaikom Temple for a clean, comfortable, and well-guided stay.
Solo traveler experience. Location is right across the KSRTC bus station which was convenient to me as I had to catch an early morning bus to Varkala from here. Also 10 mins walk to the Vaikom Mahadev Temple and 10 mins walk to the other end to the Vaikom back water KSRTC Aaram Restaurant which is nice place for relaxing during sunset. Convenient location of the hotel, if you have to take a bus to temple locations like Ettumanoor & Kaduthuruthy this is an ideal location for quick access. Hotel is very modern considering a relatively interior place like Vaikom. They also have an attached restaurant running parallel to the access road. Reception staff is helpful in providing local travel details.
