Das war nun schon mein dritter Aufenthalt im Mercure auf dem Rückweg aus dem Frankreichurlaub. Das Hotel ist super gelegen, in der Nähe der Autobahn, und das Personal ist einfach nur freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Ausstattung des Hotels ist wirklich hervorragend, und es gibt sogar einen Pool im Garten! Die Zimmer sind riesig und bieten ausreichend Platz. Besonders interessant finde ich die Lage in der Nähe der Gedenkstätte des Gestapo-Lagers – wenn man Zeit hat, sollte man sich dort unbedingt umsehen. In der Umgebung findet man alles, was man als Reisender braucht, wie eine Pizzeria, einen Döner-Laden, McDonald's und eine günstige Tankstelle. Außerdem gibt es in Forbach, auf der französischen Seite, nur wenige Meter entfernt, auch Supermärkte. Für einen Zwischenstopp in Saarbrücken ist das Hotel klasse. Ich könnte mir auch vorstellen, hier für eine Städtereise nach Saarbrücken zu übernachten.
Das Ambiente ist wirklich schön. Die Zimmer sind super sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Bett und die Couch sind extrem bequem. Das Bad ist toll. Moderne Möbel, ein Safe und ein Wasserkocher sind vorhanden. Im Flur gibt es einen Snackautomaten. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist klasse und das Frühstücksbuffet hat eine riesige Auswahl. Parkplätze sind günstig. Eine Tankstelle und McDonald's sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Erreichbarkeit des Hotels ist ebenfalls gut. Ein großes Plus ist, dass es ein Nichtraucherhotel ist, nur an gekennzeichneten Stellen darf geraucht werden.
