🌿 Sunday Alaya Resort – A Serene Escape with Room for Improvement We spent two days at Sunday Alaya Resort, nestled deep within the forest—about 6–7 km off the main road. If you're a nature lover, the lush greenery and tranquil surroundings offer a refreshing break from city life. While there isn’t much to explore outside the resort, the property itself is peaceful and ideal for unwinding. The hospitality stood out Mr. Gurpreet Singh Ji at the reception was courteous and welcoming, and Mr. Sanjay Adhikari from the kitchen staff was exceptionally supportive and friendly. Their warmth added a personal touch to our stay. We celebrated my wife’s birthday during the visit and ordered a cake from the resort. While it was freshly made, the presentation didn’t quite match expectations, and the size felt small considering the price something that could be improved. Another aspect that didn’t sit well was the room lighting; it was quite dim, creating more of a lounge-like vibe than a cozy resort feel. For families with kids, the resort lacks dedicated activity zones or play areas. While adults can enjoy the serenity, children might find limited options to stay engaged. Overall, it’s a good place to relax amidst nature with friendly staff, but a few thoughtful upgrades could make the experience even better.

Our stay at Sunday Alaya Resort, Jim Corbett was absolutely delightful. We visited in January, and the pleasant weather made the experience even better. We enjoyed our time a lot, especially the activities like cricket, badminton, and the playroom. The food was excellent - breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, especially Manoj and Sumit, who took great care of us. A special mention to Gopal Pandey ji, who guided us on a jungle walk and ensured a very safe and informative experience. He shared wonderful knowledge about the forest, trees, birds, and wildlife, making the entire jungle visit truly memorable. Overall, everything was excellent. It is truly one of the finest resorts in Jim Corbett.
