During my recent stay at Housetown 1248 Grand Torch Hotel and Royal Touch Hotel, I had mixed experiences worth sharing. Housetown 1248 Grand Torch Hotel Ambiance & Views: The hotel offers a pleasant ambiance with well-maintained interiors. The views from the rooms were decent, but nothing extraordinary. Service: The service was average, with staff being polite but not particularly attentive to details. Food Quality: I was disappointed with the food. It seemed to have been stored in the refrigerator for too long, affecting both its freshness and taste. This significantly impacted the dining experience. Accessibility: Conveniently located, the hotel is easy to reach and offers good accessibility for travelers. Royal Touch Hotel Ambiance & Views: Situated near the beach, this property boasts stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. The beach huts provide a unique charm, though they are quite basic in terms of amenities. Service: While the staff were friendly, I found the service lacking in terms of security and privacy. This could be improved to enhance guest comfort. Food Quality: Similar to my experience at Housetown, the food here also fell short of expectations. The practice of keeping food refrigerated affected its quality. Accessibility: The location is excellent for beach lovers, with easy access to Palolem Beach. Overall Experience Both hotels have potential but need improvements in food quality and service standards. Enhanced security measures at Royal Touch Hotel and fresher dining options at both properties would make for a better stay.
We had our stay during the end of December month in 2024. The rooms were spacious and well maintained with all the amenities. Service was good and food was also good. The property had a big swimming pool for both elders and children. Music was played for a few hours in the afternoon. The distance from the main beach was around 500 MTRS approx .. one can reach by foot and even tuk-tuk was also available from the nearby crossing. It was a relaxing and fun stay there.
