Many reviews are fake or botted, so here's a genuine, detailed review right after my stay at this hotel. Name has been changed for privacy reasons. Google doesn't allow dynamic review stars like 3.8 or 4.2, so I will add them here by myself. Rooms: 3.5 stars ⭐⭐⭐ ✨ For the price which I paid, just above ₹1000, it is a decent room. What I liked was that it was thoroughly cleaned and maintained. No dampness or dirty walls. However even for the price, certain basic amenities were MISSING: • No clothes hanger/hooks anywhere • AC had no remote so either keep it on or off depending on your liking • Bed was kind of basic and creaking at one point • Washroom has no handwash, although they do provide one small soap so that's all Other than these issues which can be fixed, the bedsheet of my bed had a few cigarette holes which I disliked, although nothing too nasty was there so I managed it. Washroom: 3.9 stars ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ As noted earlier, • No handwash • No Towel ring, hook (although, one towel is provided which is somewhat clean) However the bathroom condition was sweet! No dampness, almost no mold, floor was clean, water runs well, commomde was exceptionally clean and there was no smell. However, the sink tap was placed in such an awkward way that the water fell on the sides and not inside. Also there is a large hole for exhaust which could be a privacy concern for some people. Service: 3.8 stars ⭐⭐⭐ ✨ The staff at the hotel are not professional in any sense. Although they were polite but you will feel the warm courteous behaviour lacking. They are young 20-22 year old boys, and mostly they are seen laying down casually on the reception couch. Not an issue as they did not disturb or knock at the door at any point. However we did NOT RECEIVE ANY WATER BOTTLES. I had brought my own water and stayed for a short while so I did not require any. Food: Nil 😐 No food is available at this restaurant, although it is advertised on their OYO page. A menu card is provided in the room but they don't have a restaurant anymore. I inquired earlier so I arranged my food by myself. Swiggy Zomato is your choice. Also, they will not bring your food to your room - you have to collect it from infront of the hotel. Quite an inconvenience! Location: 4.7 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✨ The location is a prime one in South Kolkata, with plenty of big private hospitals nearby - Mukundapur AMRI (Manipal), NH Care, RN Tagore. • Located right next to Mukundapur Bus stop, so you can easily board buses that are mostly empty at the point • Metro Station is very close, just a 2-3 mins walk. It is the orange line metro and keep in mind, during the time of writing this review orange line services run only on Monday - Friday and exclude Saturday Sunday. However, it is a residential area and situated right beside the extremely busy EM Bypass - there arent any cafes, restaurants, shops, chaiwalas in the vicinity. Moreover being in a residential neighborhood, you get weird stares from locals if you are checking in as a couple! Finally, Check-in: 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely lovely. Almost no wait time. I suggest that you confirm your booking (if booked via OYO, etc) early on so they will be expecting you. Literally took less than 5 minutes for the entire process. Overall verdict: 4.2 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✨ For a budget accommodation under ₹1000 it checks a lot of boxes. However if price is raised beyond this, I would not recommend it . And for those people asking if its couple friendly 😏: Yes absolutely it is. No questions asked, no eyebrows raised. Just bring both your IDs. • There was a small baby tiktiki (lizard) roaming around in our room near the ceiling. Not much inconvenience, also found it cute so let it go 😽

I recently stayed at Florence Palace near Bypass Mukundapur, and I must say it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The location of the hotel is very convenient, especially for anyone visiting the Mukundapur area. It is well-connected and easy to access, yet the surroundings are peaceful and comfortable. This made my stay both convenient and relaxing. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very well-maintained. The interiors were beautifully arranged, and all the necessary amenities were available. The bed was comfortable, the washroom was spotless, and housekeeping did a great job in keeping everything tidy. I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. The staff members were extremely polite, professional, and helpful. They were always ready to assist with a smile, whether it was for room service, directions, or any other request. Their hospitality made the experience even more pleasant. The food was also very good. The quality, taste, and presentation were impressive. Everything was served fresh and on time. Overall, my stay at Florence Palace was excellent. I had a very positive experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay near Bypass Mukundapur. I would definitely love to stay here again in the future. If you want, I can also make a shorter version for Google review or add a more premium/luxury tone.
