We enjoyed our 3-night stay at Traveller’s Inn, Shillong. The hotel service was really good and the staff were polite, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. The food was a bit on the pricier side, but very tasty — they even prepared the dishes according to our preferred style when we requested, which was impressive. One of the highlights was the rooftop dining area on the 5th floor. It’s mainly used for parties, but we were allowed to have our dinner there, and the night view of the city from the top was absolutely beautiful. The hotel is located a little away from Police Bazar (the heart of Shillong), so it’s quieter and less crowded — perfect if you want a peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle. Overall, we had a comfortable and pleasant experience here.

Good budget hotel. I genuinely don’t understand why this place has so many negative reviews. The rooms were clean, the service was good, and the staff was really kind and helpful. When we checked in, our room was still being cleaned, so I actually saw the housekeeping team putting in real effort to make sure everything was spotless. The rooms are spacious, offer a nice city view, have 24/7 hot water, and they even served a decent breakfast right to our room. The receptionist was also very sweet and handed me a full tissue roll when I asked for one. If you’re looking for a comfortable, budget-friendly stay for a day or two, this place is absolutely worth it.
