Great for mountain viewing, cheap and strategic locationVery strategic location for mountain viewing. My room is located at the back side, opposite with nearby lodge but I can always catch a glimpse of mountain from my balcony. Since the cow farm is just across this hotel, you can see the cows roaming, I got lucky enough they stayed nearby for few hours upon our arrival.The toilet its a bit flooded cos of the uneven flooring. Sometimes the water pressure is so low you cant get a proper bath, but when its good, the water heater works so well in the super cold weather. Since its near the mountain area, you can smell the dampness of the room. I suggest the hotel side to improve on this.
The stay at this hotel was acceptable. The rooms were extremely congested, with no air conditioning — only a fan, which made it feel like a step below a regular budget hotel. The saving grace was the stunning view from the balcony, where you can clearly see Mount Kinabalu in all its glory. Additionally, the hotel’s proximity to Desa Farm City was convenient. If you’re looking for breathtaking views and can compromise on comfort, this place might be worth considering. Otherwise, I’d suggest exploring other options.
