OYO “Invite & Earn” Program Terms & Conditions

The OYO “Invite & Earn” program allows you to earn OYO Money by referring OYO App to friends. OYO Money earned through this program can be used towards future bookings with OYO.


To participate in this program, you must agree to the following terms:


What are the rewards under the “Invite & Earn” program?


Referee Reward:


Users that create an account on OYO app using a referral code, get RM100 OYO Money credited to their wallet, instantly.


Referrer Reward:


The Referrer gets RM100 OYO Money viz. RM50 OYO Money when the person referee signs-up & another RM50 OYO Money when the referee checks-out of an OYO room. The Referrer can use this RM100 OYO Money on their next stay to get an additional discount.


Note: The referee needs to check-out within 30 days from the date of first sign-up for the referrer to be eligible to get OYO Money.


What are the rewards under the “RM 10 Grab” program?


Campaign T&C:

  • Refer 3 friends to OYO app and get Grab vouchers. These vouchers can be used to get RM10 off on a Grab taxi ride.
  • Only referrals from 5:00 PM 26-04-2019 Malaysia Time to 11:00 PM 15-05-2019 Malaysia Time will be counted. 
  • The referral will be counted on successful signup on the OYO app (Android and iOS).
  • Offer valid till stocks last.
  • Grab RM 10 vouchers will be shared via email within 3 days of 3 successful referrals.

Voucher Terms & conditions: 

  • Voucher validity 01 April - 19 August 2019
  • Voucher valid all days & for all users (new & existing) 
  • Sharing of voucher codes is not allowed & has to be used by the person who has won it.

General Terms and Conditions: 

  • Cancellation charges will be applicable as per the OYO policy.
  • This offer cannot be combined with any other offer currently applicable on OYO app/web/mweb. 
  • All bookings are subject to availability. 
  • Discounted bookings cannot be modified. 
  • All disputes relating to this promotion/offer or OYO booking are subject to exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts. 
  • OYO reserves the right to discontinue the offer without any prior notice.


What qualifies as a Valid Referral?


A referral qualifies as valid:


1. For a given phone number, the referee installs the OYO app and also creates an account on OYO platform for the first time.


• If a user uninstalls the app and then installs the app again, then it does not qualify for a referral.

• If a user installs the app on the new phone but registers with an existing mobile number, then it does not qualify for a referral.


2. The user has not already signed up with another OYO account on the same device.


How do I invite friends?


1. To invite friends, click on the "Invite & Earn" section on the home page in the OYO app.

2. Tap on the “Invite friends” button to share your unique referral link through WhatsApp, Email, SMS, Twitter, Facebook, etc.


Please note that “Invite & Earn” should be used only for personal and non-commercial purposes, and only shared with personal connections that will appreciate receiving these invitations.


• You cannot invite yourself.

• You cannot invite anyone who uses the same mobile device as you.


Can I invite a friend from a different country?


You will earn rewards only when you refer friends/family in the same country. For e.g. If you have registered with Malaysian mobile number, you will get OYO Money only when your referrals also sign up with a Malaysian mobile number.


When will my referral get OYO Money?


Usually, for a valid referral, OYO Money is credited instantly. In case, you have not received OYO Money within 15 minutes of account creation, please reach out to us on +60 104 011 393 or Tweet us on @oyo4u .


In case the referrals are flagged as invalid, both Referrer and Referee do not get referral reward.


How many friends can I invite?


Good friends share good stuff. There is no limit to the number of friends you invite to OYO.


What is the validity of OYO Money earned through this program?


• OYO Money earned through this program is expirable.

• OYO Money account is created when you Sign up and any OYO Money earned has a default expiry date of 90 days.

• Balance in your OYO Money account will be flushed to 0 after the expiry date.


Can OYO Money be transferred or combined?


• OYO Money cannot be transferred or exchanged for any cash.

• OYO Money accrued in multiple accounts cannot be combined into one OYO Money account.


Termination and Change


• OYO may, without notice, suspend or terminate the “Invite & Earn” Program or a user’s ability to participate in the “Invite & Earn” Program at any time for any reason.

• Requirements and incentives may change at any time. The amount of OYO Money redeemable on a particular booking varies for different properties.

• OYO Money earned as a result of fraudulent activities are null and void.

• OYO reserves the right to suspend accounts or remove referrals if it notices any activity that it believes is abusive or fraudulent.

• OYO reserves the right to review and investigate all referral activities and to suspend accounts or cancel or modify referrals as it deems fair and appropriate.


Updates to the Terms and Conditions


OYO can update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. This article will be modified to show the updated Terms & Conditions.
