Stayed here for 4D3N impromptu vacation last December. They require a 55RM deposit, which you can get back after checking out, minus the cleaning fee. The room was a bit patchy and not that clean. The halls and reception were almost always dimly lit, even during the day. I’m not sure if it’s a cost-cutting measure or something. There’s a nearby Family Mart and a lot of local restaurants, but I didn’t dare go because I don’t speak Melayu. There’s also a trendy Indonesian street food place you can pass by on your way to the hotel. It’s a must-try and is just a 5-minute walk from the Chow Kit Station. Just be sure to check if this is the place you want to go, because I think the Chow Kit neighborhood they mention in tourist blogs is actually the one near the Medan Tuanku Station on the Quill City Mall. It’s a completely different vibe. Overall, I think I got a great value for the price.
