Wonderful stay. I wouldn't hesitate to return if I'm in Melaka..My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Cara Hulu hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The location of the hotel was excellent, e.g., a short walk to Jonker Walk and local attractions.rnrnBut what made our stay remarkable was the proprietor, Ridzuan Jalil. He could not be more hospitable, friendly and helpful. He provided excellent recommendations on where to dine and transportation options. On the day that we checked out, there were multiple parties trying to find transportation on a busy holiday weekend. Mr. Ridzuan was unflappable. He calmly helped everyone with utmost professionalism.rnrnBy the way, don't let the hotel's location to a mosque deter you. Yes, you can hear the calls to prayer, but they are brief and unobtrusive, particular when you're in your room. My wife and I thought it was an interesting cultural experience.

Hotel bien situé au centre de MelaccaL’ hotel est très bien situé, proche de la rivière et de toute l’ animation de Chinatown. Personnel agréable, installations neuves, très propres et lits confortables. Eau en bouteille à volontè. Non musulmans bienvenus.Bien que l’hotel soit dans un quartier calme, et la chambre ait un double vitrage, on entend les appels à la prière au petit matin (dans le silence de la nuit). On est a coté à la mosquée.
