We experienced an unexpected incident at the Immigration checkpoint in Merapok, which prevented us from continuing to Lawas. As a result, we looked for accommodation in Sipitang and were fortunate to find Warisan Motel. We booked a room with two single beds at RM80 per night. The room was simple but decent, and I appreciated the cleanliness of both the room and the bathroom. Since it’s a motel, expectations are modest, but it served its purpose well. One thing to note: there’s no kettle provided, so you’ll need to bring your own flask or tumbler to collect hot water from outside. The motel is conveniently located near Sipitang town, making it easy to find and accessible.
