Oravel Stays to start self-operated premium hotels under Palette brand; first hotel coming up in India’s ceramic capital Morbi

Building on the success of OYO Rooms, Oravel Stays, one of India’s leading hospitality companies, is now looking to replicate a similar model for its premium hotel chain, Palette. The company plans to launch self-operated premium hotels under the Palette brand, beginning with Morbi, Gujarat.

Direct Control for Better Guest Experience

Oravel Stays had launched Palette with 10 hotels in cities like Jaipur, Hyderabad, Digha, Mumbai, Chennai, Manesar and Bangalore. To ensure enhanced guest experience and service delivery, the company will take direct operational control of select Palette hotels in high-growth and promising locations. Oravel Stays intends to open 12 additional self-operated Palette hotels by the end of the year.

India’s Ceramic Capital Set for Growth Amidst Rising Business Travel Demand

Morbi, known as India’s ceramic capital, is a key economic hub in Gujarat. The district is home to over 800 tile factories, accounting for 90 percent of India’s tile production, with an annual turnover of about Rs 50,000 crore. It is one of the world’s largest ceramic clusters which attracts buyers from across the world some of whom stay for relatively long periods. With a focus on attracting investments and boosting infrastructure, the Gujarat government has prioritized the development of the ceramics sector. A 425-hectare ceramics park is expected to be operational within the next six months, positioning the district for exponential growth. This surge in development has led to an increase in business travel to the region, creating a demand for high-quality accommodation solutions.

Haven for Business Travellers with Premium Amenities

Oravel’s Palette in Morbi is strategically located to cater to the needs of business travellers. The property features 48 spacious rooms and amenities such as conference room and common spaces, a swimming pool, restaurant, and 24×7 free WiFi, ensuring a pleasant and productive stay. Its proximity to key business hubs and industrial areas further enhances its appeal to corporate guests.
