OYO helps create quality tourism landscape in Agra

Amol Dhir is a third-generation hotel owner from Agra who has spent 12 years in the hospitality industry.  He has been creating a value proposition for guests who come and stay at his property –  Capital O 10953 Dayal Lodge- A Boutique Hotel. With a people’s first approach he has been ensuring guests a delightful experience while leading from the front. Owing to the positive reviews his hotel has bagged the Trip Advisor’s Traveller Choice Excellence Award for the year 2019!

Talking about his journey, he says- “At our lodge when a guest checks in they are like our friends and family. When I joined this hotel 12 years back I had a big vision for it, bigger than what my grandfather, my father and my family had for this hotel. I wanted a support system,R a partner who could assist me in this. The OYO team were the right people for this who nurtured my idea and pushed my vision to grow along. The biggest USP was the technology integration which came along with OYO. From the comfort of home, I can check occupancy reports, employee management, booking and revenue reports. As an independent asset owner, I could not have achieved this. For me, OYO has always been a partner and it has given me immense opportunities to get featured and grow along”

With a myriad of cultural confluence and mighty forts, Agra holds an important place in history as it is home to many architectural wonders from the Mughal era. Be it spending time at the Taj Nature walk or shopping for the finest jewellery and marble work at Kinari Bazaar, Agra has something for everyone. The history of the city peeps through the city’s narrow lanes and speaks for itself through glorious tombs and forts comfortably dispersed all around the place.

Utilising the potential of curating unique experiences for tourists, OYO Hotels & Homes, India and South Asia’s largest, China’s second-largest, world’s 3rd largest and fastest-growing chain of leased and franchised hotels, homes, managed living and workspaces has been empowering asset owners like Amol across the country.

Additionally, OYO works closely with asset owners across geographies to help them realize business goals and point out what is working well and what could be done better. Recently the company also launched OYO Partner Engagement Network (OPEN) – a year-long initiative with 6 core promises for 10000+ asset owners in India (only for India). It further introduced an upgraded Co-OYO app for asset owners that provides complete visibility on all business & customer metrics. The app helps to enhance the quality of standalone hotels and improves occupancy from 25% to 65% on an average, increasing the yield on underutilized assets for asset owners.

Further to the above OYO also sanctions financial support for overhauling the property, while extending additional support like equipping the hotel with LED televisions, AC, Wi-Fi, CCTV, Dish TV, quality linen, etc. This will also allow creating thousands of jobs in Tier II and III cities by nurturing micro-entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector thus leading to their economic growth.
