The government is promoting Bali as a destination for digital nomads to work and vacation, or workcation (remote workers). Our premium hotel brands participating in the program include Townhouse Oak and Collection O. Most of these hotels are equipped with key amenities such as high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, swimming pool, bigger room size, restaurants, and in-room facilities like mini fridge etc., to meet the requirements of tourists looking for a comfortable long term stays in Bali. There are coworking spaces, cafes and marketplaces located in close proximity to these hotels. The Digital Nomad program allows foreign nationals to stay in Indonesia for up to six months while working remotely for a foreign company or as a freelancer. To be eligible for the program, applicants must have a valid passport, a return ticket or proof of onward travel, and proof of sufficient funds to support themselves during their stay. Applicants must also provide proof of employment or a description of their freelance work, as well as proof of health insurance coverage. The program is intended to attract professionals, entrepreneurs, and freelancers who are able to work remotely and have the flexibility to travel while working. The Indonesian government hopes that the program will attract skilled workers, encourage economic growth, and promote tourism in the country. Digital nomads visiting Indonesia can now apply for the social-cultural purpose visa (B-211), which is valid for 60 days (two months) and can be extended for an additional 180 days (six months).
