OYO inaugurates 25 ramps at Galleria market in Gurugram for specially abled people

We announced the inauguration of ramps at Galleria Market in gurugram to help specially abled people access the commercial establishment.

These ramps will enable specially abled people to access commercial establishments within the market such as salons, eateries, post offices, ATMs, banks and medical shops without any hassle.

Commenting on the initiative, Ankit Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, OYO India said, People with disabilities continuously battle with many obstacles both physically and mentally. Our efforts are aimed at making their life easier by giving them easy access to markets and other commercial establishments with these ramps. This is our first such initiative in Gurugram and we are confident that it will benefit a lot of specially abled people”.

Portable ramps are made of steel and equipped with adjustable legs making it easier to remove and reinstall them as per the requirement. Anti-skid surfaces and reflective tapes on the border make them safer for people. They can carry upto 300 kgs of weight at a time. In addition to this, shop employees have also been trained to assist wheelchair users over the ramp.

WE have taken this initiative in collaboration with RampMyCity and Enable India Foundation. Under this initiative, We have contributed towards installation of 25 ramps in the market.
