OYO unveils first television campaign in Nepal; Showcases its multifaceted value proposition for guests through two videos

In 2017, we opened our doors for our guests in the beautiful country of Nepal. Ever since, we painted the town red. Quite Literally. Within a short span of two years, we expanded our presence to 21 cities, hosting thousands of guests every day across 440+ hotels and 6,600+ exclusive rooms.

Today, no matter where you go there is always an OYO. To spread awareness based on this message, we rolled out a quirky television campaign, ‘OYO, Rahanus Bindas’ in Nepal. LIVE across Nepal, the two engaging videos highlight our strong presence and easy access to standardized accommodation for all tourists and guests in the country. It features Nepal’s popular actress Barsha Raut and her husband actor Sanjog Koirala each leading a separate TVC which are shot in Nepalese with English subtitles catering to a wider audience. Further amplifying our social media outreach to travellers, we will be releasing two video blogs across all platforms, including YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. These vlogs will feature noted names from the social space like Samriddhi Rai, Priyanka Karki and Sisan Baniya.

TVC 1: OYO to the rescue

The first TVC narrates a family stranded in the middle of nowhere with their car broken down and how OYO comes to their rescue.

TVC 2: Spontaneous staycations

The second TVC features two friends looking for a break from their mundane routine by instantly booking a hotel via the OYO app.

Aditya Ghosh, CEO – India & South Asia, OYO Hotels and Homes, said, “Nepal is a key market for us in South Asia and we are committed to strengthening our position in the country. Our journey has been nothing short of exceptional and this has only been possible because of the love our guests have shown towards the brand. This TVC is an ode to our guests, who continue to inspire us in making OYO their most-preferred hospitality partner no matter where their travels take them.’’

Commenting on the launch, Weeky Yolmo, Country head of OYO Nepal said “We are excited to unveil our first television campaign for Nepal. These videos highlight our true value-proposition for the travellers – no matter wherever you are in Nepal, you are never far from an OYO. All our hotels offer a standardized and comfortable experience to guests which can be easily booked by the OYO mobile app. We are overwhelmed by the response received from our guests and will continue to deliver value-driven hospitality to both local and international travellers as we support the government’s vision of promoting tourism in the country with Visit Nepal 2020.’’

Committed to delivering high-quality hospitality experience to discerning travellers while ensuring higher yields to asset owners in Nepal, we have strengthened our footprint across key cities including Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dhulikhel, Bhaktapur, Nagarkot, Chitwan, Biratnagar, Hetauda, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, Birgunj and Lumbini.

Lastly, to make our mission #LivingTheGoodLife a reality, we are working towards our promise of providing the best quality spaces with modern amenities such as free WiFi, television, spotless linen and 24/7 support among others.
