OYO Hotels & Homes announces Industry-first complimentary insurance cover for guests at the booking price

As we tread into newer geographies our core focus remains to provide quality living spaces to all our guests across the world. In line with this objective and a customer-first approach, today, we are pleased to announce a first-of-its-kind complimentary insurance cover for our guests as part of the booking price. This is applicable during their stay in OYO properties across India. We are launching this offering in partnership with ACKO General Insurance. With a host of other amenities at our properties, we want to provide our guests with a hassle-free and avoid unexpected and often isolated situations. From the time you book, to the time you check-out, we have ensured steps to make your journey delightful. 

 

The complementary insurance package offers our guests insurance coverage up to INR 10,00,000 for protection against accidental death (coverage up to INR 10,00,000), baggage loss (coverage up to INR 10,000), accidental medical expenses (coverage up to INR 25,000) amongst other benefits like OPD treatment, etc for the entire duration of their stay in  a particular city. To begin with, we will be offering guests staying at OYO Hotels, OYO Home, OYO Townhouse, Collection O, SilverKey, Capital O and Palette Resorts this insurance, valid for their full period of stay in these properties. The insurance cover will be applicable to bookings made via the OYO App, website, mobile website, direct bookings as well as walk-ins. The offering will be extended to other categories and booking channels in the coming days. 

 

On booking an OYO property, guests will be able to view their insurance policy on the booking confirmation page and by logging on to either of the OYO and ACKO websites with their registered mobile numbers. 

 

Steps on how to claim Insurance

On OYO App/Website

  • Open your OYO App and go to ‘My Bookings’
  • Select the particular stay that you want to claim for from the list of stay
  • Click on the ‘Insurance’ option from your stay details page
  • Select the type of claim, follow the next few steps, and your claim will be registered with ACKO

 

On ACKO.com

  • Go to www.acko.com & login with your mobile number registered on OYO
  • Under the ‘Claims’ section, select OYO Claims which opens your ‘My Account’ page 
  • Select the ‘Stay’ filter which opens all your stays
  • Select the particular trip, click on the ‘Initiate Claim’ button below the Policy details section
  • Select the type of claim, follow the next few steps, and your claim will be registered with ACKO
