It is an older motel, but in pretty good shape. The rooms were very clean, beds were nice, clean and no bed bugs. Room heated nicely with the window unit. Open the back door to a little porch and looks out over a grassy area and the river. It's an older motel but we would stay again. The floor was a little bit wavy and some of the paneling was coming up a bit but my kids really enjoyed it and it was clean and easy to get to Cherokee and Bryson City. Would definitely stay again for the price. Lovely Cherokee Indian lady was in the office and there if we needed anything.
Great place, Quiet Location and Good People. I'm not sure what other people require for a good review. I had a King room with a nice little porch looking out over the river. For my purposes, this location was perfect - quiet and relatively natural environment that is still roadside and able to get to a large number of hiking trails and towns all within 15 minutes. The front desk was warm and welcoming - the guy there is chill in a friendly way.
