The mosque and Dargah Sharif underwent substantial renovations and repairs in 1964, and the narrow route leading up to the masjid was renovated in 1990. Today, this spectacular site proudly spreads across 5000-square-meters of land.

This prompted him to settle on the coast of Mumbai to dedicate his life to the teachings of Islam.

 

The Death Of The Pir

The Pir’s death is steeped in mystery. He directed his followers to cast his casket into the sea and bury him where it washed up. His devotees followed his instructions, and the casket eventually landed on a mound in Worli. They built a tomb and a dargah to honour the Pir, and it has since become a renowned pilgrimage site. The Pir has left a mysterious legacy and an enduring mark on the world.
