1. Baruya

The Baruya beach is located in the Srikakulam district and it is right at the point where the mighty Mahendra Tanaya River meets the Bay of Bengal. The most beautiful moments that you can spend on the beach are enjoying the sunrise and the sunsets. The beach gets a little crowded during the weekends but you will still manage to find some cozy spots here and there to relax. The best way to reach the beach is to come to Vizag from Vijaywada and then take a cab from there. You will have a lovely time here, with all the seagulls to give you company. 3. Manginapudi

This beach is about 75 km away from Vijaywada and is basically close to the town of Machilipatnam town and is also known as the Machilipatnam beach. It happens to be one of the most popular beaches in the entire state of Andhra Pradesh and gets quite crowded during weekends and holidays. Nevertheless, a lot of fun can be had on the beach and the scenic beauty here is really amazing. The waters are clear and stunning but swimming is not allowed for the majority of the year now as the beach was heavily affected in the tsunami of 2004. The beach gets its names from the Ramkrishna Mission and the temple of Goddess Kali, which is located right across the road. There are some parks in the vicinity and some eateries have recently come up too, and so it is a good place to spend a day with your family, within a very modest budget. 10. Vodarevu

The Vodarevu Beach is a very well known beach in Andhra Pradesh and it is about 6 km away from the town of Chirala, which in turn is about 100 km from Vijaywada. Nevertheless, this beach is mostly frequented by locals within the state. The coconut groves here are lovely and you will have a lovely time walking on the warm, yellow sand.
