I needed a workspace that allowed me to fit my legs comfortably, and I was pleasantly surprised when they offered me a room change the very next morning without any hassle or extra fees. The room and bed were impressively spacious! The decor was lovely, although the TV could have been positioned better for viewing from the chair. The bathroom was a bit small in comparison, but it did its job just fine. I did notice that the glass shelf was a bit wobbly, so I couldn't place anything on it. And the mirrors seemed a bit low—definitely felt like they were made for someone much shorter! It would have been nice to have a small sofa at the end of the bed for relaxing and watching TV. I hope the management considers raising the mirrors, fixing the bathroom shelf, and perhaps adding that small sofa in the future. Overall, as a sea view room, it was definitely a great deal. A room fridge and a communal microwave for guests would also be a lovely addition! 🙂
THIS HOTEL IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST I’VE EVER STAYED AT IN EASTBOURNE... and I’m quite particular about my accommodations! The beds are brand new, the pillows are fantastic, and the lovely cotton sheets are a real treat. Everything feels fresh with new quilts, quality curtains, and new carpets, all beautifully decorated. It’s bright and airy, making for a wonderful night’s sleep. Simple yet elegant, I can’t wait to return! The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, and the place is spotless with a delightful scent. This is definitely the place to be; many other hotels in Eastbourne feel worn out, with old carpets, uncomfortable beds, and an unpleasant smell, all in dire need of a makeover and better quality bedding and towels. The Strand CHECKED ALL THE BOXES FOR ME! I even had the pleasure of meeting the owners, a vibrant young couple, and I wish them all the success in the world.
