The beach is directly outside the West Rocks Townhouse. The property is also conveniently located for the Congress Theatre, just 5 minutes’ walk away.

We received a warm welcome at the reception, where the staff was incredibly informative and helpful. The beds and pillows were super comfy, and there was plenty of hot water for a relaxing bath. The view of the sea from our window was lovely, and we appreciated the vending machine for snacks and the option to purchase alcohol if we wanted. There were two nice seating areas on the ground floor, and we enjoyed the wrapped chocolate biscuits on the hall table and the bowl of sweets at reception. The young lady at the front desk the next morning was delightful, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a snack bag with a croissant, yogurt, satsuma, jam, and butter available for all guests—such a lovely touch that wasn’t mentioned in our booking! The hotel was undergoing some rejuvenation with a fresh modern grey paint job outside, which looked fantastic and showed that they care about maintaining the property. They even scratched off the date on our £2 parking ticket, which was a great deal compared to parking meters. This was the quietest hotel we’ve ever stayed in; it felt like the rooms were spaced out enough that we weren’t disturbed by other guests. It really felt like a privately owned place with all the thoughtful little extras. Kudos to West Rocks—we would absolutely love to come back! 🌟💖
