Only downside was the lack of a bathtub; the shower was fantastic, but I really missed having a soak. My pillows were a mix-one was firm and the other a bit lumpy, but that's just personal preference, so it's tricky to please everyone. The staff were wonderful, the room was spacious and centrally located near shops and the train station. The bed was huge, and I’ll definitely miss it. The room was warm, and the TV was a nice size. Everything you could want for a great stay. The staff even surprised us by decorating the bed for my partner's birthday, which was such a lovely touch. Room service was quick, and the food was delicious.

The rooms are carpeted, which according to the reception applies to every room. Unfortunately, the carpet looks a bit shabby, which is not ideal for allergy sufferers! I find that regrettable! An Austrian gives a minus point for the instant coffee at breakfast instead of freshly brewed bean coffee! In such an elegant house? And the toast is also something that can't be changed; that's just how it is in England. The location is fantastic, the reception, the entrance, and the staircase in Victorian style are very appealing, and the picture gallery is really well done.
