The new owner, who has been there for a few months, mentioned that they are currently renovating the hotel and its function rooms. The reception area was inviting, adorned with tasteful Christmas decorations, and there’s a bar that I didn’t use but thought was a lovely touch! The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and eager to help. The owner personally showed me to my room in the annex adjacent to the main hotel building, which I found to be clean and of a good standard. The crisp white towels and bedding were a nice touch, and the bed was comfortable with extra pillows available. I was also given a contact number for reception in case I needed anything. If they maintain the high level of customer service I experienced and offer competitive prices for breakfast and dinner once everything is fully operational, I would definitely recommend this place as a charming alternative to the usual chain hotels. It was easy to locate and very convenient. The place feels a bit old and could use some updates, but it was clean and comfortable, perfectly situated for visiting our friends who were just a short 5-minute walk away. This was my first time in Blaby, and I would definitely choose to stay here again since it’s right in the heart of everything you need for a night or two. The young man at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming. It’s simple and not extravagant, but it delivers exactly what you expect.
