This was my first OYO stay and I cannot say that I wasn't skeptical, but ended up pleasantly surprised and definitely will stay here again! The location is less than 30 mins from Winstar, was very clean, had cool air, a comfy bed, microwave, mini fridge and small coffee maker. Check in went smooth. The place is run by husband and wife team Sam and Henna, who were very pleasant and operate as both the management, and housekeeping staff, so please allow them some grace with their multitasking. People complained about the highway, but as a few folks have mentioned, it did not bother me because the A/C masked the noise. Oh, there is also a Dollar General, and a Valero gas station that hosts Krispy krunchy Chicken and a Pizza place, all of which are within walking distance.
We opted for this hotel because it was close to The Gardenia Venue. I’m giving it 5 stars because it lived up to what you would expect from a motel. Nothing fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, and did the job for a quick stay. The beds were soft and comfortable. They had basic toiletries available in case you forgot yours. Our room was in the inner corner so the noise from the highway wasn’t an issue for us (also could’ve been that we were tired and knocked out). We booked a month in advance and the check in/out process was quick so no issues there either. The A/C was a tiny bit on the louder side but we were able to sleep. Would recommend if you’re looking for a short stay, especially if you’re attending a wedding nearby.
