So upon arrival the front desk people were very nice and helpful. We checked into our room and we were 2 hours early. They offered to hold our luggage until our room were ready. Check in time is at 3pm we arrived at 1pm. We decided to go get something to eat then come back. We got back and went up to our rooms, now the elevator is very slow and tiny but this is NYC and I noticed a lot of the elevators were slow. No big deal, we got to our room, key didn't work, had to wait for the slow elevator and go back down, then go back up and again, key didn't work, this time they sent someone up with us which was nice. We got into our room, now you can see how they are updating the room. The floor has soft spots and the bathroom floor paint is peeling off. Room was a decent size for NY, we had 2 double beds. The room was clean but again you can see the room was redone but still dated. Everything worked fine and for the location it was good. So out of the 5 nights we suppose to stay here our key gave us issues 6 times from Sunday check in to Wednesday morning. That is us going up and down the slow elevator 12 times to get us into our room. Now the front lady offered to change us rooms but we didn't want to repack our belongings and move. We just wanted our key to work. We talked to Fantima on our key issue when it was the 6th time. She said she was going to talk to the manager and see if I can get my $250.00 resort fee back due to the entire issue of our key. We spent 30 min in the morning trying to get our key to work with going up and down the elevator and another 30min at night after spending a long day out in NY tired to get back to our rooms. We were more than patient and I am hoping the manager gets back to me before we leave. I will come back and review what they decide to do due to the inconvenience they caused to a faulty door. UPDATE: I just got off with Jennifer from OYO and she was very helpful and understanding about the door situation and decided to make it right. She did give me great advice about requesting a different room for future reference if there was any issues immediately. So I moved my review from 3 star to 4 stars because of Fatima and Jennifer, there customer service is top notch and from the beginning they were helpful. We will definitely be coming back to the OYO next year. Also keep in mind they are renovating so we will be excited to see how it turns out next year.

Pessoal, vou ser bem sincera sobre o Hotel, certamente vai ajudar a muitos que assim como eu ficaram bem apreensivos com essa hospedagem. Pontos positivos: localização perfeita, vc vai conseguir fazer muuuuita atividade a pé. O quarto que fiquei não é tão pequeno como vi nos comentários, em Manhattan os quartos são pequenos mesmo, me acomodou legal, com as malas abertas, tranquilo. Os quartos estavam limpos, sem cheiro de cigarro ou cannabis (senti no corredor umas duas vezes o cheiro da erva mas nada que me incomodasse tanto, nas ruas vc vai sentir MUITO mais, então prepare sua cabeça para isso). As roupas de cama são confortáveis, apesar de não parecerem novas. Gente, sobre a equipe, no geral são simpáticos e o sr que guarda as malas foi extremamente educado, melhor funcionário daquele lugar. Pontos negativos: Sim, as taxas. Sei que alguns lugares cobram taxas de turismo, esse hotel cobra taxa de resort, foi a mais alta que já paguei em viagens, é realmente bem alta, maaaas procurei me informar antes de ir e já sabia do valor quando cheguei lá. Agora sobre uma taxa que eles chamam de seguro, essa aí eu realmente acho que o hotel não deveria cobrar, eles pedem 100 dólares por noite ou 300 dólares acho que se for mais de 3 noites, é esse valor que acredito que as pessoas reclamam não receber de volta. Pô, vc já paga uma taxa de resort salgada e ainda tem que pagar esse valor? realmente é dose... mas no meu caso, usei a conta Nomad e o estorno no check-out foi imediato (ufa, eu cuidei do quarto como se fosse meu para não ter problema com esse estorno, senão essa reserva ia me custar muito). Detalhe importante só aceitam cartão para pagar essas taxas. Outro ponto negativo foi o banheiro, o hotel fala que é 4 estrelas, aqui no Brasil se vc ficar em um hotel 4 estrelas, respeite o hotel! Você vai estar muito bem acomodado, café da manhã vai ser ótimo, enfim, o banheiro do OYO AT TIMES SQUARE estava com pedaço do forro meio que saindo, a água não esquenta, para tomar banho você morre e ressuscita (fui no inverno). O aquecedor do quarto é fraco demais, mas deu pra não morrer a noite, então dá para passar. O Wi-Fi no quarto que fiquei (5 andar) estava mais ou menos, hora pegava, hora caia... E não tem opção nenhuma de café da manhã. Conclusão: Pelo valor que paguei. Incluindo as taxas, eu voltaria com certeza nesse hotel. Os pontos positivos pesaram mais na minha métrica. Obrigada de coração pela receptividade equipe do hotel e até um próxima.
