There isn't great communication between the front desk staff and the maid service staff. I checked in and when I went to my room, the sheets were in a pile on the bed, the trash hadn't been taken out, there were only a few towels and the floor wasn't the cleanest. I thought this was a weird hotel. Turns out the maid had started to clean the room but not finished. I ended up being moved to another room - after I'd made the bed and taken the trash out.
I decided to stay in Yoakum instead of driving back and forth to Goliad for a job. We Googled hotels and chose the OYO Hotel. I reserved a handicapped room and was thrilled with the room. Spacious, clean, and quiet. The black out curtains were appreciated. Absolutely recommend this place. Price was so cheap too!
