I recently stayed at the Island Hotel Port Aransas with a group of three. Overall, we had a good experience, especially considering some of the mixed reviews I had seen beforehand. The room itself was updated and very clean, which made for a comfortable stay. I also appreciated the location. It’s a bit removed from the main part of town, which I personally enjoyed because it was quieter and less crowded. At the same time, it’s still very close to the beach, which was a big plus. One issue we did encounter was that our room only had two towels, even though there were three of us staying. It wasn’t a huge problem, but it’s something that could easily be improved. As for breakfast, it was fairly underwhelming, but that matched what I had already read in other reviews, so it wasn’t a surprise. Overall, I would consider staying here again for a clean, quiet place near the beach—just with slightly adjusted expectations for amenities.
Really enjoyed my stay here, beds were comfortable lots of pillows, pet friendly small waffle continental breakfast had a pool.The lady at the desk I delt with the most was majorly awesome, maintenance guy was super nice, the guy that checked me in was awesome to, my tv was a bit off everything was blue but we were busy not alot of tv time microwave is loud and turntable didn't always spin but it worked. Housekeeping staff was always leaving a trash trail I cleaned up from outside my room but overall for the price and location it was awesome. Stayed almost 6 days there...great job to the hotel office staff and maintenance...only issue i had was my door kept sticking and couldnt open it sometimes.
