The front desk staff were nice and check in process was not too bad. The room is nicer than I expected. I didn't realize it had a kitchen when I booked. No complaints there even though I didn't need it. But good to know for the future. Only thing I can say but it's minor seeing as I'm literally here just to sleep, my room was missing the remote and there was one out of 3 pillows missing a pillow case. Not a big deal. I like this place enough to come back.
the building-including the rooms and the amenities inside tell you a story of how long this place has been here given how you can spot at least one thing from each decade. functionality of some museum pieces may be an issue or require some effort and ingenuity like turning the knob that was there at some point. so if you are expecting to have everything handed to you because you can't or don't want to figure out how to make things work, this place may not be for you.
