I liked this Motel 6. The chain is intentionally a low-cost provider, so less fancy, but the Portsmouth location was just fine. Moreover, the staff was able to provide useful local information that helped me solve a car problem on a Sunday. The route from the hotel into downtown Portsmouth is relatively simple.

My husband is in a wheelchair so we got ADA accessible room and it was good for him. We had previously gotten the one listed as "accessible" but without the ADA and it was the same as that one but with one bed instead of two so more space for the wheelchair.
