The hotel has clearly made an effort to update the rooms with fresh paint and modern furnishings. The ceiling fans are a nice touch, too! However, I did notice a bit of humidity in the air, and there were some spots on the window frames that looked like they could use a little extra attention. The neighborhood has a bit of character, though it might not be for everyone. It was lively, and my Uber driver mentioned he usually advises visitors to explore with caution.
The hotel was clean and offered good value for the price, with a great location close to various restaurants and shops. While there were quite a few homeless individuals nearby, they didn't disturb me as long as I kept to myself. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again.
