Simplicity. It felt clean because it was simple. I would rather have a simple room than one pretending to be one’s own house. I normally prefer camping when away overnight but this room was ok.

I booked a non-smoking room and it absolutely had been previously smoked in. The stench of cigarettes was pretty heavy. We tried to run the AC to air it out but that didn't work so well as I'm sure the smoke was in the unit but it was 90 out so opening the windows wasn't going to work either. (We also did not have time before our event to ask for a different room - we had to toss our bags and get out the door).
