Front desk check-in was great. Room was clean, which is extremely important. Suggest start maintaining rooms - a few at a time. The door had bad scratch (?) marks on the inside of it, visible wall patches, shower crud at door corners. Easy little fixes that will improve the aesthetics. Was a little leery about the extra $50 room deposit that the clerk suggested we do in cash (I put on my card), but after looking today I do see it being refunded. I haven't encountered that before.
The room has a funky smell, maybe because smoking use to be allowed. Brighter lighting for reading would be helpful. The shower outside could look cleaner. It would be nice to have faith the toilet was going to flush well. It would be nice to have one somewhat comfortable chair in the room.
