We were running from the hurricane and have two dogs we travel with, so Motel 6 is usually our go to as they are pet friendly and do not charge for the pups. There was a 100$ deposit, but I got it back when I checked out, no biggie, and it went back on my card fast. The room was spacious, not your typical closet room. It was clean, bare feet still white sheet worthy at bedtime clean. I was impressed. The pup walk area was clean and free of poo so either pup parents are doing their job or the hotel staff was diligent in keeping it clean. Very much appreciated. The hotel is large and they have clean elevators, clean laundry rooms and luggage carts. I was very happy with staying at this hotel while we waited out the storm. We stayed for 7 days and it was a great stay for the money! Eddie at the front desk was super helpful and very tentative.
I felt safe inside our room however taking the dogs out to pee in the middle of the night was nerve wracking due to heavy police activity across the street. I don’t know what was going on but its dark in the dog area The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. I did like the fact that there was no carpet. The laminate floors made it feel cleaner. The rooms have a countertop stove which is nice for extended stays but the backsplash needed a good cleaning
