The room was cleaner and more spacious then expected. The mini fridge, microwave, and the AC/heater all worked well. The room was also more spacious than expected. The motel was formally an independent motel than had become run down over the decades. There was obvious termite damage but I expected worse. The only major problem was the hot water heater not working for my room, resulting in cold showers during my stay. It was clean though, and no signs of bed bugs or cockroaches. There was no daily housekeeping, but both the employee working the front desk and the housekeepers were thoughtful, respectful, and friendly. There's also no toiletries, complementary coffee, or ice machine. There's a vending machine that I didn't risk using it. But there's a Food City across the street, and other stores close by. The area felt significantly safer to me than west of Downtown Mesa. There's a light rail station stop right next to the motel as well. Overall it was a better experience than motel chains that I expected to be nicer. It was mostly quiet, and the bed was comfortable. It was at least 20 dollars cheaper a night than any other clean motel in Mesa or Tempe during my stay. So the lack of any complementary was really no big deal to me.

This hotel has the best staff. Come here and support this business. They are remodeling but the treatment is the best. I was treated like family.
