This was a hidden gem in San Clemente. From the moment we checked in all the staff were smiling and greeting us, and it is a smaller hotel so its very easy to find your way around. They are renovating, so some rooms like the one we stayed in still had some of the old carpet and curtains, but it was well-maintained and clean. We were there for a wedding (lots of venues to choose from!) And we enjoyed every minute we were in the hotel. It was quiet, aside from the obvious road noise, and they had a balcony on the 4th floor you could see down the street and peek at the ocean. There's a free trolley that has stops right near the hotel so you dont even need to drive to get most places. It was lovely and I can't wait for my next trip down there.
Great affordable hotel, right near the affectionately named “Surf Ghetto” (that’s a good thing!) in San Clemente. It’s close to the train and transit and is along the coastal highway, making it ideal for those who plan to explore the Southern Orange County coastline and beyond. A cobblestone beach is a 10 minute walk away, and there’s a great gym (San Clemente Gym) across the road for those who want to stay in shape while in town. My room was super spacious, clean, and with zero signs of any bugs (I always check for that reasonably priced beach motels/hotels). Wifi worked, and the room had plenty of hangers, an ironing board, hair dryer, etc. The staff was friendly and the hotel seemed to attract a pretty good crowd of travelers. I will absolutely stay here again.
