I'm not gonna lie, I was really nervous about staying in a place this inexpensive in the middle of nowhere that sounds like it used to be pretty gnarly. The feeling went away immediately when I went in and met the owner. He's clearly a good guy running an honest business that's trying to offer a reasonable and fair rate for his rooms. He hasn't owned the place long and it still needs some work, which is why I couldn't give it a perfect rating across the board - it was perfect for my needs but isn't quite done with its facelift yet. But honestly, with somebody this genuine in charge of the place, I wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. Thank you for everything!
If you’re looking for a less expensive place to stay while in Mena, this is a good option. The rooms are very dated, not fancy in any way shape or form, but they are clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and asked multiple times if there was anything we needed as they passed us on the property while working around the place. Traveling on motorcycles we always have concerns about bike security and there were no issues here, with other bikes and some UTV’s on trailers here as well. (Don’t miss the Talimena Scenic Byway while here!) I loved the vegetables and flowers the owner is growing!
