I live in NV and was going on a cruise out of Seattle, WA. I was visiting family in OR, and decided to stay overnight closer to Seattle, to shorten the drive prior to sailing. 8 days after I stayed at the Oyo hotel for 1 night, I received a call asking about my stay. I told the guy on the phone, my stay was fine. He asked on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the best, how I would rate the hotel. I told him it was a 5. He asked me to leave a review for the hotel. He offered to give me a 40% off coupon, with a 3 month expiration, to leave a review. I told him I don't live in the area and there were no Oyo hotels in my area. Therefore, a coupon with a "3 month" expiration time would do me no good. He guided me to a Google review site. I left a honest, basic review. After leaving the review, and the caller confirming I completed a good review, he attempted to end the call. I stopped him and asked how he was going to send me the 40% coupon for a hotel stay. He reacted surprised and asked me for my email address. I gave him my email address. As of 7 hours after this call and me giving him time to find and complete this review, I still have not received and email including a 40% off coupon for a hotel stay. So....I can say, IMO, employees representing this Oyo hotel are unprofessional.
The hotel is rated to Star on reviews so I was a little leery but there was nothing else in the area. But I was surprised. My room was nice. It had wooden floors no carpet which I like. I think it was one of the renovated ones. Bed was playing room was clean tub was clean toilet clean. They had good selections on the TV and the shower was hot that's my main thing. The downside was the soda machine wasn't working and had no vending machine. The ice machine looked a little scary it was dirty. I came in on a late night and the help at the front desk was a little rude but manageable.
