The Siletz Bay Beachfront Hotel provided a good two-night stay for me, and this week its price was reasonable. Being a regular visitor to Lincoln City lately, I’ve seen hotel prices rise and fall like the ocean tides depending on how full or empty each is. This was my first stay at Siletz Bay since its prices were much lower this week than usual. The items at the Beachfront which were unattractive to me were: (1) Although they were all in good condition, the appearance of the carpet and furnishings inside the room looked like they were from the 1990s. (2) The room has no air conditioning unit; the temperature inside the room was controlled by a small wall heater and a ceiling fan. Thankfully, those two were sufficient during my October stay, but since my windows faced south, I’d think that the room temperature could heat up during the summer months. The last item is my largest complaint, (3) that the continental breakfast room was very small, and it contained no protein options, only carbohydrates – waffles, bagels, fruit, yogurt, and cold cereal. Some good points of the hotel were its attractive southern view of, and its proximity to, Siletz Bay; its close access to the beach; its proximity to a number of food, coffee and other business options—the closest being Mo’s, which is right next door—including places like IGA grocery and ACE Hardware. Lastly, something which should be guaranteed in all hotels and motels but in my experiences I have found is not always the case – my entire room was very clean and orderly. All in all, the Siletz Bay Beachfront Hotel is a good place to stay as long as its price is reasonable.

Room was not what we had reservation for. Our reservation was cancelled due to a couple of circumstances. Our original credit card had been compromised and we were within 30 min of checking in when I received information that our bank would not accept payment. When we were compromised I had notified our creditors, however, I forgot that I had made reservation with Sieltz Bay before that happened. We were not where we had a computer and sometimes out of signal for them to get in touch with us. They did accommodate us however, they did not give us our original room we reserved. We wanted one with a balcony due to having our dog with us and we wanted it for ourselves also. The room was old with a frayed sofa, what looked like a cat or dog scratched the upholstery and the dresser drawer had the trim off of it. The breakfast was nice and we did enjoy our stay and will come back. All this being said the staff was really really nice and the room was clean.
