Our stay at the OYO Crepe was quite nice compared to some reviews I've read, but some of this probably comes down to managing expectations. The room was simple and small, but also clean and we felt very safe. A list of positives: The hotel is in a great location. Just a couple of minutes walk and you're right where you want to be - at the water or in a vibrant area of shopping of dining/drinking/etc. The pool is open 24 hours. It was never crowded, and the water was sparkling clean. We didn't see a single bug. As soon as we got there my wife turned the room upside down looking for any hint of bugs. Nothing. The water temperature and pressure (shower) was ideal. The shower faucet was a little short, or maybe I was just a little tall, but I love when I feel like I can really get CLEAN in a hotel bathroom. Vic/staff is very responsive. I had some reservations about the lack of on-site staff, but Vic was generally around the property - and whenever we needed him he picked up and responded very quickly. Any downsides we experienced were fairly minor. I think they are working on getting WiFi, there are some bumps and bruises in the rooms (for example we had some dried paint splatter in our tub, etc) but nothing that would stop us from staying again. In summary, it's not the Ritz, but for a great price and location... If you don't judge a hotel by it's modern amenities but rather the convenience and access it provides I would add it to the list of hotels you're considering. We tend to spend very little time in our room when we travel - so the OYO Crepe served us just fine.
interesting rooms, the sink was outside the bathroom. but it got the job done, no complaints here. the service is IMMACULATE. The guy running the place will be there at your door to help you if you get locked out any time of day or night.
