Labor Day 2019 in Charleston

Are you looking to visit Charleston? Check out our listings or call 1-844-BOOK-OYO to find available rooms today.

You may not realize it, but the Labor Movement led to a lot of the good things in our workplaces: limitations on working hours, the banning of child labor, and yes, the weekend. What better way to celebrate those folks then by not working at all? If you’re ready to kick back and do nothing, here’s what’s up on Labor Day in Charleston.

Got some time on your hands? Gather some friends and drink some beers or sip some wine.

There’s only one winery in Charleston, and it’s a good one. Nestled on Wadmalaw Island, Deep Water’s Labor Day Weekend Winedown will feature BBQ from La’Son Anchor Grill. Eat, drink, and be merry while Charleston-based band, Calhoun’s Calling, plays in the background.

Celebrate Labor Day weekend with a cold one—or a few cold ones—at Low Tide. The brewery has works with local chefs to create praiseworthy food and beer pairings. Low Tide is putting its own spin on the Labor Day festivities by offering all to go beers in a buy one/get one half-off feature.

You can walk instead; bring as many friends and family as you want and enjoy the beautiful late summer weather. There’s even a post-race afterparty (with beer!) at a local restaurant!

Listen

Make Labor Day all the more festive and deepen your appreciation of music at the same time.
