Nice place to visit, we came for a quick weekend so wasn't after anything fancy, we booked the family room, it was nice and spacious for us and our 3 toddlers. Room was nice and clean, one of the single beds had a tough mattress so wasn't a very pleasant sleep for me the first night, came morning I sneaked onto the double bed with my kids and slept amazing. When we first got there it was a little confusing as there's a door to the left that says reception and then the pub on the right but there was no one at reception and no bell to ring or anything so we just figured out we had to go and ask in the pub. The lady that saw it us was lovely and helpful. The Inn is located in a lovely area with lots to do locally, lots of shops, restaurants etc. The pub music does come through to the room but it isn't too loud and not something you can't sleep through
A good welcome and we had somewhere to store the motorbikes out of view. The room was comfortable, tidy and reasonably well kept. The bathroom was clean. Take away menus were available and we went to Georges close by where we got an unexpected mountain of food (too much to eat). I'm sure it went to a good cause in the end!! There is no breakfast available but I'm sure you could find one nearby. Overall cheap and cheerful the locals are friendly and the place was just what we needed and near to Seaham our destination.
