Stayed here for one night while visiting family and exploring the town. Absolutely fantastic location, only a short distant walk into the centre - but in a quiet area so no disturbed sleep. Rooms were brilliant for such a cheap price. Also the extra thought into the facilities was much appreciated. Tea and coffee refreshments, shampoo and body wash, towels, thick duvets, and two pillows!! Had an excellent night sleep here. Only “negatives” (which did not hinder our time here at all) were: the bathroom was extremely small, and our room number 1 was actually next to room 13 which did confuse us at first when we approached room 14 next to 2 and 3. However our room was easy to find after this as we worked out the numbers had been swapped. Overall we would stay here again as we found it absolutely fantastic for what we needed. And the staff we did come across were very friendly. Would 100% recommend!!
I like this hotel, its cheap and cheerful, nice quiet hotel in a decent location. The only thing I will say is, the room I stayed in on my most recent stay the walls looked as though they'd had grubby hands smudged all over them so maybe a lick of paint would be needed. Pipes around the walls could be boxed off also. And the bedding on the beds looked like they'd seen better days, warn and stained and the blanket that was put over the end of the bed on one of the beds hadn't been washed because it was dirty. But, overall, this place is a nice quiet stay 😊
