OYO The Royal Hotel is a budget hotel with standardised amenities at the best value. You can enjoy your stay in the comforts of your room, which includes free wifi and non smoking rooms.
Single room review, stayed during bus driver training which was cheaper and easier for me rather than getting up at stupid o’clock and commuting, very short walk to bus depot, Cheap and cheerful, well used rooms so don’t expect a good finish or perfection, shared toilet and shower with two facilities on separate floors, large sink area in your room with cubby holes and small free packaged soap, shower gel and shampoo, drawers and bedside table but knowhere to hang clothes, wooden chair to sit on, tiny bin, small TV with HDMI, good WIFI connected an Apple TV ok, large window for good ventilation, window opens wide so prob no good for children, I wouldn’t stay with children due to shared facilities but not sure if on suite family rooms are available, radiator in the room with no electronic heating controls so you have to turn the valve on the radiator to get it warm, hand and bath towel provided daily, great bar/dining and breakfast areas, friendly staff and customers, good fish and chip/pizza shop, Chinese, barbers and large convenience store a very short walk away, power strip to connect your chargers etc, very small kettle but enough water for a king pot noodle! with free tea, coffee, mug, glass, spoon and long life milk provided, used by contractors and business people, quiet during the day but not so much after 5 when everyone gets in and are needing showers and food but understandable, overall a very good hotel for the price with friendly efficient staff.
Stayed here a few times time and always been brilliant value. Comfy beds, cosy atmosphere, very friendly night porter and nice having the free car park too. Only issues I've ever had have been water pressure / once having no hot water, but there is a communal shower available so not the end of the world, and not worth worrying about for the price really. Definitely staying here again.
