We booked this hotel on a whim - let's have the four poster bed! If you want a Regency experience then the Nash Suite at Bailbrook Lodge is the right choice. We wanted somewhere close to Solsbury Hill. It was less than an hour's walk from the hotel to the top of the hill. Our room was delightful. Two comfy chairs and a table positioned in a huge bay window so you could soak up the gorgeous, panoramic view. There was a selection of fine teas, a tea pot and a cafetiere. The shower in the wet room has good pressure and the towels were large and fluffy. The hotel manager was friendly and approachable. We didn't have breakfast this time but I plan on returning so maybe next time!
Perfect for us for a two day trip to Bath to see friends, an exhibition, and soak up the sights. Although we suffered a deluge of annoying automated messages in response to a simple request after booking from the moment we arrived it was excellent. Lovely Georgian building...shabby but in a good way as it was spotlessly clean. Great, and tranquil (despite being on a busy road), location just an enjoyable ten minute bus ride to the centre, no problems leaving car after we'd checked out, lovely friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, comfy room, a bath in Bath, and pleasant garden. What more could you want? We'll be back - thank you
