We have visited OYO Bailbrook Lodge several times now, and the quality remains consistently high. From the moment you arrive until you check out, the staff are exceptionally attentive, polite, and genuinely caring. The room was spotless and kept that way throughout our stay. Breakfast is thoughtfully organized and delicious (just remember to pre-book your time and preferences - this system works wonderfully as it ensures your food arrives promptly). The whole building exudes charm from a bygone era, and its location on the outskirts of Bath is perfect, with plenty of free parking available (unlike a nearby hotel that charges £10 a day). We've already made plans for our next visit in a few weeks!
The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the four-poster design is a delightful rarity. Plus, the free parking is such a huge advantage! It's just a 40-minute stroll to Bath Abbey or a quick 5-minute cab ride for around £7. The breakfast was outstanding, and I appreciated being able to book a time slot, allowing the staff to tidy up the tables after guests. I highly recommend this place!
